Where are you located?
We are located at 35 Tyrwhitt Road. It is opposite the Jalan Besar Sports Complex.

What are your opening hours?
We are open from 10am to 7pm daily but are closed on Thurdays.

What methods of payment do you accept?
Cash only.

Do you have a membership scheme?
No. However, we do have packages available for our grooming services.

We have 4 types of grooming packages. Bath, basic grooming and full grooming packages are available in a buy 5 for the price of 4 scheme. These packages have a 1 year expiration date.

We also have a special maintenance package that consists of 1 full grooming and 4 basic grooming sessions which has to be completed within 3 months. The maintenance package is meant to work such that your pet comes every 2 to 3 weeks.

For clients who require transport, there is a transport package also available in a buy 4 get 1 free scheme.   

 

 

What is the difference between basic and full grooming?
Full grooming would include styling/undercoat removal(dependent on breed) on top of what is done for basic grooming.

Must I stay with my pet while he/she is being groomed?
No. We can give you a call or sms when your pet is done. This is the option most of our clients choose as they can take the opportunity to run their errands.

Can I watch the grooming process?
Our grooming room is fully viewable from the retail section. However, on a general basis, most dogs are very excitable when their owners are watching. Hence, while our grooming area is viewable from the retail section, we do appreciate it when owners watch from a distance instead of up close at the glass to enable us to give your pet a better soothing grooming experience. 

Must I make an appointment for grooming?
Yes. We strongly recommend that you make an advance appointment.

How do I make a grooming appointment?
Please either call or email us.

What time is your last appointment?
4pm.

Do I have to leave my dog at The Pet Emporium for the whole day?
No. We can call you when your pet is done.

How long will my pet need to stay for grooming?
This depends on the breed as well as temperament and coat condition. It can be any time from 2 hours to 4 hours. Additional time may be needed for larger dogs or dogs with thick or matted fur.

Do you offer transport?
Yes, we do. We charge $10 per round trip. Please arrange with us what time you would like us to collect and return your pet.

Do you have packages available?

Do you express anal glands?
We do this only upon request as it is still a controversial procedure and not everyone likes us to do it.

My dog has her own medicated shampoo; can you use it instead of using your normal shampoo?
Yes, we can help administer the medicated shampoo. If your dog has a skin condition and currently has no medicated shampoo, we can recommend a shampoo suitable for its skin condition.

Do you do Hand Stripping and full scissoring?
Yes, we do. However, as these procedures require more time, they are more expensive than the typical grooming charges. Please enquire for more information.

Can you get all the matts out of my dog without clipping?
This is dependent on how many and how tight the matts are. If the matts are tight, We will not be able to brush out the matts as it is painful for the dog. In such cases, the dog will have to be clipped short. Take this chance to start anew! Our groomer will guide you on how to maintain its coat in the future.

Do you sedate my dog?
No, we do not sedate dogs but will try to work with your pet. However, if we are unable to groom your dog due to temperament, we will call you to pick up your pet or return your pet to you.  

 

 

How many days in advance must I book for boarding?
As our boarding space is limited, it is advisable to book as early as possible especially for times near the festive periods to ensure availability.

Can I view the area my pet will be staying in?
Definitely! Please arrange with our staff to get a tour.

My pet is on medication. Can you help feed it?
Yes, we can.

What do I need to bring down for my pet?
To help your pet adjust faster to his new surroundings, it would be best to bring your pet’s food and water bowl/bottle as well as enough food for the duration of his stay. If you decide not to, no worries! The Pet Emporium will provide everything your pet needs. For dogs, Wellness dog food will be fed twice a day to dogs that come without kibble. This is chargeable at $2 a day. For dogs on raw or home-cooked meals, we have an extra surcharge of $5. For small animals, Oxbow pellets and hay will be fed, chargeable at $1 a day. You may also want to consider bringing along your pet’s toys and bed.

What time can I drop my pet off? How about collecting times?
Pets can be dropped off and collected between 9am and 9pm. Please make prior arrangements with us for times outside our regular operating hours. Boarding charges start from the day of your pet’s stay. For example, if your pet is brought to us on 7th August to 16 August, there will be a charge for 10 days.

Do you provide transport?
Yes, we do. Transport is available at $10 per round trip.

Must I place a deposit for boarding?
Yes, we require a $50 deposit or 20%; whichever is lower upon your pet’s check-in.

 

 

 

How long does my order via the e cart take to be processed?
After you place your order, we will contact you within 24 hours to arrange for delivery and confirm product availability. You may also want to consider placing a phone order.

Is there a minimum order for delivery?
We have a minimum order requirement of $50.

What are the delivery times?
We do not have fixed delivery times but generally do deliveries after 7pm. If you would like a specific time, please let us know and we will do our best to accomadate it.
